Cybernomics Announces Support for Online Initiatives for Roots Canada
GTMA partner, Cybernomics Corporation, has provided support for online initiatives for Roots Canada during the last three Olympic Games. Cybernomics’ contribution included hosting Roots’ website, as well as providing image serving, e-mail direct marketing and specialized e-marketing tools. Roots required extra bandwidth to facilitate website access by the large amounts of users that attended the site every day. Daily traffic for the site increased to five times the average during the 2006 Games. “We needed an IT company with hosting abilities that could support a huge spike in demand on our servers during the Olympics, while providing a cost-effective solution that supports our day to day operations. Cybernomics was able to respond quickly to our needs and was able to adapt and respond as our requirements changed,” attests James Connell, Director of New Media and E-Commerce at Roots.
